iGlasses

by Randy Brown

I was worried that my old school iSight camera would produce totally grainy video, well it turned out to be not so bad. With most if not all webcams, ample light both on the subject as well as the background is a must! I have yet to work out a good but simple lighting setup so I'm limited to daylight from a near window when using FaceTime with my kids. The 640X480 resolution is nowhere near as sharp as the Logitech C510 that I own. But with the help of the iGlasses 3 app, I have a whole new crop of hidden camera options that I can make adjustments to. Brightness, tint, saturation, sharpness, gamma (very important), white balance and more! The iGlasses 3 app launches each time you start an app that uses your webcam and gives you access to controls and adjustments. The iGlasses 3 app works with any webcam connected to your Mac including the built-in or external iSight cameras. It's on sale for about $5 and worth every penny. www.ecamm.com/Mac/iglasses
